“The Employment Testing, Ergonomic Evaluation, and Reasonable Accommodation Connection”

Our June 2017 webinar is an exploration of the interplay between employment testing, ergonomic evaluation, and reasonable accommodation. The use of post-offer employment tests, functional capacity evaluations for stay-at-work or return-to-work, and employment physicals performed by physicians affect or can be affected by ergonomic evaluation and reasonable accommodation.
For example, the validity of a POET test protocol may be increased by calling on the services of an ergonomic specialist to quantify the physical stresses in a particular job. Likewise, an employer’s reasonable accommodation decision may be informed by medical restrictions issued by a physician.
